Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities of Position:
Generate product work instructions and build routings
Generate product bill of materials and associated make/buy execution plans
Lead continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives
Participate in Design Reviews for documentation review and approval
Participate on Materials Review Board for disposition of any and all discrepant materials during the contract
Determine product throughput requirements and associated tooling and equipment needed to realize schedule
Productivity improvements to minimize cost of production.
Design tooling and equipment for production builds of hardware.
Train operator for specialty job skills
Key Success Factors:
Develop process flows and work instructions for all electronic and mechanical components of systems for assigned programs
Ensure Design Documentation is in formats that are clear and accurate for assigned programs
Coordinate activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost
Design tooling and fixtures required for assigned program execution
Work with Design Engineering to construct testing models that are capable of meeting throughput needs
Ensure Capital equipment needs are addressed and are in place by time production efforts start
Attributes/Skills Required/Sought:
Knowledge of GCS Premier and GCS Cost Point systems a plus
Basic skills in drawing interpretation that include the ability to read drawings and schematics
Understanding of how indented and consolidated bill of materials are constructed for execution of make/buy plans for product ordering and build
Ability to work with Design Engineers on developmental products
Basic knowledge of Electronics and Mechanical systems a plus
Ability to cost estimate product build times based on standard time factor applications for types of assembly
Familiarity with lean tools, including 5S, visual management value stream mapping, root cause problem solving, and total productive maintenance
Experience/Education Required/Sought:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience in related field
Will pay relocation cost up to $5,000.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
